The Ship & Trades

The contemporary bar, restaurant and hotel overlooks one of the yacht basins at the former Royal Naval Dockyard. It has waterfront seating with views of the boats and views across the River Medway onwards to Upnor Castle.

Visitors can also enjoy the view from inside the Ship and Trades’ wrap-around restaurant with floor-to-ceiling glazing overlooking the marina. The 15-bedroom hotel also has a comfortable lounge area and 2 cozy rooms. Its décor is inspired by its nautical heritage, as the structure was originally home to dockyard offices and an engineering shop in the late 19th century.

A cinema and several shops are within a 10-minute walk away.
