Haimurubushi

The southernmost resort in Japan, located on the remote island of Kohama, 5 minutes from Kohama Port by car, Haimurubushi offers spacious accommodations with views of the ocean or gardens. A free shuttle is available from Kohama Port. Kohama Port is a 30-minute ferry ride from Ishigaki Port, while Ishigaki Port is a 30-minute drive from New Ishigaki Airport. Free WiFi is available in all areas, and guests can enjoy various marine sports, including diving, snorkeling, and windsurfing.

All guest rooms are nonsmoking and equipped with air conditioning. Rooms feature a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. A fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags are included. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer, slippers, and nightwear.

An outdoor swimming pool is open during the summer season, and massages can be requested for an extra cost. Bicycle rentals are available at the front desk, and a paid washing machine is also provided. Guests can ask for travel tips at the tour desk and enjoy canoeing at the ocean or simply sunbathe at the beach.

A buffet dining option and a bar/café are also available.

Haimurubushi Hotel is a 10-minute drive from Kohama Folk Museum and a 15-minute drive from Churasan Observatory. Kohamajima Country Club is only a 15-minute walk away.

The free shuttle runs on a schedule accordingly to the ferry boat arrival. Reservations are not required.

Kohama Island can be reached by public ferry from Ishigaki Island. Operated by Anei Kanko and Yaeyama Kanko Ferry Company.
