Svalereden Strand Camping is located right on the Kattegat coast, 6.2 mi south of Frederikshavn and just 2.2 mi from the charming town of Sæby. Enjoy a peaceful seaside setting with direct beach access – ideal for a relaxing holiday for families, couples, or friends.
Choose between three types of cottages:
Standard “Retro” Cottages – For up to 5 guests. These cozy cabins do not have running water or private bathroom facilities. Guests use the campground’s modern service buildings. Dogs are welcome.
LUX1 Cottages – For up to 5 guests. These well-equipped cottages include a private bathroom and two separate bedrooms. Dogs are allowed.
LUX2 Cottage – For up to 6 guests. A spacious cottage with two bedrooms and a loft, as well as a private bathroom. Dogs are not permitted in this unit.
Facilities
The campground features modern service buildings, a shared kitchen, and activities such as mini golf, table tennis, beach volleyball, and mooncars. Excellent hiking and cycling trails start just outside the campground – perfect for nature lovers and active guests.
Our on-site shop sells basic groceries, beer, and wine. Freshly baked bread is available on weekends in spring and daily during the high summer season until October.
Things to See and Do Nearby
The town center and marina of Sæby are within walking or cycling distance (approx. 2.2 mi). Skagen is just 31 mi away and makes for a great day trip. Family-friendly attractions such as Fårup Sommerland (1-hour drive) and the North Sea Oceanarium in Hirtshals (45-minute drive) are also easily accessible.
