The beach in front of the Royal Kahana Maui experiences seasonal ocean current changes that impacts the beach’s physical appearance and size. There can be no sand in the winter, with sand possibly returning gradually in spring, summer and fall based on the ocean current activity. Due to further erosion caused by winter ocean currents, and past storms this year, the beach has depleted.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in.
