Built in 1896 in the Art Nouveau style, the historic Jugendstilhotel Paxmontana, standing on a hill in a beautiful location in the Canton of Obwalden, has won many awards.

This jewel of architecture combines the atmosphere of the past with modern comfort. Here you can enjoy the perfect balance between relaxation, activities and enjoyment. The ideal location in the geographic center of Switzerland makes the hotel a perfect starting point for sightseeing and hiking the medieval Way of St. James. The surrounding area is where St. Nicholas of Flüe (1417-1487), the patron saint of Switzerland, lived.
