The Kings Head Hotel

The Kings Head Hotel is a former coaching inn set on the edge of Brecon Beacons National Park, in the historic market town of Abergavenny. The Borough Theatre is just next door and nearby Market Hall offers a wide variety of independent stalls.

Rooms at The Kings Head Hotel feature a flat-screen Freeview TV with radio, tea/coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom equipped with complimentary toiletries.

The Kings Head offers a cooked breakfast each morning, as well as continental options. Regency59 restaurant offers a traditional British lunch and Nepalese and Indian food throughout the evenings.

The town is surrounded by mountains and is well-known for its fishing and walking trails. The Abergavenny Castle ruins and the River Usk are less than 500 yards from the hotel. The hotel is just 10 minutes' walk from Abergavenny Rail Station and about 40 minutes' drive from Cardiff city.

Please note the hotel does not offer on-site parking. There is street parking, which is free between the hours of 17:00 and 09:00. Alternatively there are pay-and-display car parks around nearby.

During the busy summer there will be live music in our main Bar (Fri/Sat) to entertain the guest and regular pub visitors. The music will be played until 11:30pm. Some of the rooms can hear the sound and if you like really quiet room we suggest to book somewhere far from the central town.
