The Orwell Hotel

Close to the town center and 0.2 miles from Felixstowe Railway Station, this Victorian hotel offers free parking for guests.

The property was initially built for Lord Tollemarch. Today, the spacious public areas are wood-paneled. There are 58 rooms with attached bathroom, all of which are tastefully furnished.

Felixstowe is an Edwardian resort and, like the hotel itself, it still retains much of its original charm. The town features beautiful south-facing gardens, many attractions, safe beaches and a paved promenade. The hotel is just a mile (1 mi) from the town’s port, and is approximately 30 miles from Harwich.

Please note that on certain days functions are held at the hotel and this often involves music being played until midnight. Guests can contact the property to check if they are any functions scheduled during their stay.

Check-in between 12:00 and 14:00 is available for an additional charge of GBP 20, while before 12:00 costs 50 GBP. This is subject to availability.
